Steam Shower Technology
Alternative energy sources are making huge waves across the globe in response to protecting the environment and climate change. From cars to houses and even cellphones, popular alternative sources of energy like solar energy are now gaining visibility. This trend has found its way to steam showers which uses up significant amount of electricity during operation. Steam showers use steam generators to produce a fine mist of steam that fills an enclosure. The steam provides a therapeutic sensation to the body by soothing stressed muscles with mild heating action. Most steam showers plug into a socket outlet but some are now hybrid-powered augmented by solar panels. A typical steam generator requires a minimum of seven kilowatt generator to produce the desired steam volume. The steam is produced by bringing water to a boil and is distributed by a pipe system that fills the steam shower room. Temperature inside the steam shower room must be maintained around 118 degrees Fahrenheit. Most steam shower generators are equipped with digital controls that are user-friendly to operate.
